House Of Thai Rice & Noodle at 4752, 5738 Watt Avenue, North Highlands, California.

After our visit at the aerospace museum, the kids were super hungry. We decided to try out House of Thai Rice & Noodles restaurant since it had 4 star and 529 yelp reviews.
We ordered the following items:
1. Mango curry (the mangoes were sour and my least favorite dish)
2. Chicken noodles – my kids loved it. My daughter couldn’t stop eating.
3. Eggplant with chicken – It was so delicious, we killed it within minutes.
4. Basil fried rice with shrimp – every bite was filled with flavors.
You can order the food based on the spice level ranging 0 to 10. Well someone would argue, there is no such thing is as level 0. Well not everyone eats spicy food. For the kids, we requested 0 chilies for the chicken noodles and fried rice. Whereas for the two entrees were level 8 . Yes, we love the ball of fire in our mouth. Ha-ha. Next time, I’ll go for level 10. Personally, for us the level 8 was not spicy. And we requested thai chillies in the vinegar. The owner was accommodating and brought house-made chillies (sweet and savory) and another small bowl of chili in vinegar.
At this restaurant, staffs are welcoming, energetic and down to earth. The restaurant is small but beautiful decorated with Thai statues and etc. The corner seats needs to be changed since the leather was falling apart.
This is a locally owned restaurant and the service succeeded my expectation. We came here with empty tummy and left with a satisfied belly. I personally would recommend people to try out this restaurant.
